We were delighted to return to Pennant Hills Golf Club on Friday 24th March 2023 for a fabulous day and night raising funds for our beneficiaries – STaR (Special Teaching and Research), MND Research Australia and Professor Dominic Rowe’s MND Clinic at Macquarie University. This event followed a 4-year break due to COVID and the flooding of the golf course and it was so great to finally be back with all our friends, family and fellow MonSTaR supporters once again.
144 golfers joined us during the day for the MonSTaR Cup Golf Day followed by 325 guests attending an evening cocktail function with our wonderful patron, Peter Overton alongside a speed painter, magician, speeches, auctions & raffles, not to mention plenty of drinking and dancing to a live band until midnight.
On the night we raised $150,000 which combined with the incredible donations from the Danny Bergan Memorial Foundation of $128,000 and $68,650 from Renascent and their sub-contractors, means we will be able to distribute $350,000 to our beneficiaries this financial year.
We are truly indebted to everyone who contributes to our events in any way – it is a huge team effort to raise this amount and we would like to thank everyone who was involved – from our Gold and Silver sponsors and evening guests through to everyone who donated items, bid in the auctions, bought tickets in the raffles along with all our incredible volunteers who give up so much of their time to help in the lead up and on the day.
